A Record of Lost Trees

No official count exists of the majestic trees that have been cut down in our city. In fact at present, there is no known record of any trees cut down.

We simply don’t know how many of the last 6,000 have been lost in the past several years. As a result, we aim to invite our citizens and communities in locating and mapping majestic trees - living and felled - in our city.

Send us photographs of the majestic trees you encounter that have been, or are being, cut down.  We will post photographs here as well as include this information in our reporting on the status of The Last 6,000. If you are a homeowner that has needed to cut down a majestic tree due to it being a hazard, or otherwise, please share data and or a photo via the input form below. We will include it in our census.

Will you help us create a census?
Share photographs and details, if available, about the felled trees. We'll count and map them.
The simplest way to send us your tree information is to enter it directly via our Google Form:

If you would prefer to send your data to The Last 6,000 via email instead, download and complete the Input Form via button below. Then send it to us here.
